Celente Launches 2nd American Revolution:
Puts His Money Where His Heart Is

KINGSTON, NY, 26 June 2012 — Gerald Celente’s forecast is clear – The 2nd American Revolution is on the horizon. And this American Patriot has done more than just sign up to join the fight, he’s established its headquarters.

Inspired by its potent symbolic value, Celente has purchased the 1750s “Franz Roggen House,” a stately stone colonial set on the northeast corner of John and Crown Streets, in Kingston’s historic Stockade District. This is the only intersection in the United States that boasts pre-revolutionary stone buildings on all four corners.

“Kingston played a critical role in the 1st American Revolution and was, for a short while, the capitol of New York State,” observes Celente. “Here is where I’m taking my stand to start the 2nd American Revolution.”

And how is Celente going to win the 2nd American Revolution? With a voter strike…

“Stay Home, Don’t Vote!”

Celente’s Revolutionary call to arms begins with a voter’s strike. “Stay Home, Don’t Vote” is his campaign slogan. “People have been conned into believing that if you don’t vote you’ve lost the right to complain. That’s political baloney,” fumes Celente. “The true case is exactly the opposite. This is a two-headed, one party system. Republican or Democrat, considering their track records, it’s clear nothing can be expected from either Presidential candidate other than the perpetuation of the destructive and criminal policies that have brought America to its current state of perpetual crisis and socioeconomic decline. Ditto for Congress.”

“What self-respecting person would cast a vote for a lesser of two evils?” asks Celente. “Not only is it immoral and undignified, it’s destructive. Lesser or greater, evil is evil. By supporting one evil or the other, the voter becomes an accessory to the crime. Only a true intellectual revolution can restore dignity, trust, morality, decency and compassion.”

“Anything else is just more of the same. Stay Home, Don’t Vote!”

* The Question: What other off-the-wall political ideas have you heard lately?

    (is that excessively rabid?)

Reducing the number of Chicago City Council members.

Starting a website for a nomination but saying its for a race over 2 years away and expecting the voters to believe that.

Leadership golfing on Election Day, thinking its “no big woop.”

Tom Swiss SPEAKING his strategy, (as flawed and dopey as it was/is) out loud!

The “Ricketts” (The Real owner, Papa Ricketts) taking on Obama, then NOT taking on Obama, then having the kids distance themselves from the “Ricketts”, then having Tommy-Boy calling Rahm to “sit down and talk” …that was pretty dumb.

I’ve just deleted several comments from the same IP address claiming to be a different person, all wanted to talk about essentially the same subject. That IP address is now banned for life. Goodbye.

Actually worrying about GOP delegates to the convention in the big scheme of things, especially in IL.

Debbie Halverson running against JJJ, and her best polling numbers were her FIRST poll numbers.

  7. - Wensicia - Tuesday, Jun 26, 12 @ 2:16 pm:

This year, it’s the “I’m the anti-whomever.” incumbent you’re running against. You don’t even have to offer campaign promises or say what you’ll do in office, other than reversing what your opponent did.

For some reason, the pro-gun crowd seems to believe Obama will do away with the Second Amendment if he wins a 2nd term. I mean, where do they come up with that stuff?

  12. - Oswego Willy - Tuesday, Jun 26, 12 @ 2:31 pm:

Making sure you are “ahead” of the corruption, you sending out a press release, calling out a colleague, and saying they are indicted, but not having the crime correct …that was really dumb.

ADMITTING your “spontaneous tantrum” was actually planned and thought out.

  13. - Wensicia - Tuesday, Jun 26, 12 @ 2:31 pm:

    @DS,

“…where do they come up with that stuff?”

That was supposedly the goal of the “Fast and Furious” effort led by AG Holder, if you listen to some on the right. They believed it was meant to scare Congress into banning assault weapons.

  14. - Cheswick - Tuesday, Jun 26, 12 @ 2:34 pm:

Not really politics, but a political statement, I guess: People saying they are driving from Springfield to Missouri just to avoid paying our cigarette taxes.

Tweeting/Facebooking every single move you do. Expecting that not to come back and haunt you. (someone, somewhere, is printing ALL those tweets/posts).

Double-Crossing (or the impression thereof) on the Prison closures. That will have long-term political legs.

Off-the-wall and has been criticized, but I sorta like California’s jungle primary for some reason. I think at some point it will give an Independent a shot at winning.

Illinois seceding from Chicago. Creating the MilChiNWInd unigov. Abolish the RTA, (and about 300 other useless government bodies), going back to the gold standard, Agenda 21, replace the property tax with a land tax (Henry George). Some are crazy, some make perfect sense, none will ever happen.

  34. - wordslinger - Tuesday, Jun 26, 12 @ 5:20 pm:

    –”The economy is fine.”–

Who said that? You might want to double-check the quote and the context.

  35. - Robert - Tuesday, Jun 26, 12 @ 5:35 pm:

    ==Chris Christie for Vice President.==
Huh, I actually find Christie to be quite reasonable. Though I ultimately agree with you, as it may be “off the wall” that a republican would consider someone reasonable after past republicans picked as running mates Quayle/Cheney/Palin?

  36. - Oswego Willy - Tuesday, Jun 26, 12 @ 5:41 pm:

===Sounds like you know Tom Cross’ golf schedule better than his own caddy.===

It’s pretty easy … if there is something that needs to be done or important …ell, you can guess where “Two-Putt” Tom is.

“We have time for 9 holes, it can wait.”

  37. - Quinn T. Sential - Tuesday, Jun 26, 12 @ 5:48 pm:

How about the Mayor Nero and the Police Superintendant fiddling side by side with guys in purple thongs in the Pride Parade, while Rome burns down around them.

Over the weekend 4 people were killed; including Two boys – ages 13 and 14, and 31 others including two other teen boys, were wounded in shootings throughout the city this past weekend.

If I was Mayor and/or Police Superintendant I would not be pandering to the feathered boa brigade in Boys Town, I would have spent my Sunday instituting Marshall Law on the south and west sides instead.

It’s great to do community outreach for expediency’s sake to those that might otherwise feel disenfranchised, but at what point should you skip a parade, and actually start doing something for the communities where people are being killed in record numbers.

  38. - Wensicia - Tuesday, Jun 26, 12 @ 5:52 pm:

    Condoleezza Rice for Vice President.

Though they’d have to drag her kicking and screaming to the position. Amazing the most popular Republican is from the Bush administration.

  39. - Oswego Willy - Tuesday, Jun 26, 12 @ 5:54 pm:

The Chicago v. Anywhere But Chicago is just as off-the-wall as any out there.

It was goofy enough trying to get Chicago out of Cook, but at least there could be some sort of blueprint to that insanity. Chicago leaving Illinois is not even remotely palusable, so why bring it up except to look like a panderer and someone with no answers, and not know what the questions are that need the answers.

And then there is the basic monetary math issues…

    Dopes!

  40. - CircularFiringSquad - Tuesday, Jun 26, 12 @ 6:45 pm:

  41. - wordslinger - Tuesday, Jun 26, 12 @ 6:56 pm:

Gee, Quinn sounds like you don’t love a parade, what with all the pandering, thongs and boas (you must have watched).

Do you have a problem with all Chicago parades, and all the citizens in their gaily-colored and extravagant costumes?

Should the mayor and superintendent personally just lock-and-load 24/7 until this decades-old problem of armed urban gangsters (you know Bugs Moran, Dion O’Bannon, Johnny Torrio, Al Capone) has finally been eliminated?

  45. - wordslinger - Tuesday, Jun 26, 12 @ 10:59 pm:

Jimbo, there are plenty of alternatives to democracy all over the world, don’t hold yourself back.

Just curious, though — what’s you’re favorite alternative at the moment?

    Good luck, cousin.

A spin on what Willy said: Tweeting/Facebooking every single move you do–and then deleting (minutes or days later) what no longer seems to “fit”. Expecting the deletes not to come back and haunt you.

As Word said, even more hyphenated Americans.

  47. - Anonymous - Wednesday, Jun 27, 12 @ 12:19 am:

One more: Pandering to, soliciting huge campaigns contributions from, and otherwise relying on those who do not even know what the qualifications for POTUS are–no matter how many of them there are. (Boy, are they going to be disillusioned and miffed when they find out.)

  48. - Anonymous - Wednesday, Jun 27, 12 @ 12:25 am:

And…in this “global economy,” boy, is your average US Citizen going to wonder why the heck you were pandering to them in the first place.

(A “cost of doing ‘business,’” perhaps? Like in “Europe?”)

  49. - Anonymous - Wednesday, Jun 27, 12 @ 2:08 am:

“(A “cost of doing ‘business,’” perhaps? Like in “Europe?”)”

BTW, I read that in a TRAVEL magazine…of all places! Imagine that.

  50. - Mike Huntoon - Wednesday, Jun 27, 12 @ 7:57 am:

Off the wall idea of the week is that cutting IL Cares Rx will save the state budget any money.

The reason IL Cares Rx existed in the first place was to assure that people took medicines for chronic disease like diabetes, heart disease, and arthritis.

Medicare’s Extra help program has much more strict income guidelines than Circuit Breaker, so many IL Cares Rx recipients are now facing the prospect of having to pay $30-S40 monthly premiums for their Part D, in addition to facing huge increases in their actual drug costs.

When senior’s don’t take preventative medicines, they often end up instead in the emergency room.

When a person making $17,000 (above the Extra Help limit) has a stroke and ends up hospitalized, and all they have for coverage is Medicare, they will face a big enough bill that it will easily fulfill their potential Medicaid spenddown, and the state will end up footing a MUCH larger bill that if they had just helped pay for some cholesterol and heart drugs.

Cutting IL Cares Rx is penny wise and pound foolish, it’s forgetting that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

  51. - Eastsider - Wednesday, Jun 27, 12 @ 9:33 am:

The neutrality of Lisa Madigan in ferreting out public corruption…how nutty is that?

  52. - D.P. Gumby - Wednesday, Jun 27, 12 @ 10:47 am:

The U.S. Supreme Court is not political or partisan.
