Quinn thoroughly thumped on assault weapons ban
Thursday, Nov 29, 2012 * This was as much about gun rights as about legislative rights. Gov. Quinn drastically rewrote a bill to turn it into an assault weapons ban, but the Senate buried him yesterday…
Maybe they can use Squeezy in the new “strategy” to pass an assault weapons bill. “No” votes were Clayborne, Jackie Collins, Maloney and Silverstein, all Democrats. A whole lot of other liberals voted for the override.

No matter which side one is on, guess you got to take care of the base - even if it means you get your brains kicked out.
Pat, now that you’ve made the obligatory “… governor will continue seeking a statewide assault-weapons ban to enhance public safety. (Spokesperson) would not elaborate on his strategy.”.
Do us all a favor - let it have a quick and merciful death - and forget about it.
Maybe now you can go back and build on all the ’success’ you are having with Squeezy.

Rich: Your phrase “nothing to see here…” seems appropriate. I only looked to see how many comments there were…and I am not surprised they are lacking. People are past the point of thinking we can keep guns out of the hands of criminals, so who cares anymore?
Look at the presidential campaign: One person in a town hall debate brought it gun control. Other than that, I heard no mention of gun control in other camp during the entire campaign.

All one has to do to see the purpose of an assault weapons ban is look at India, Syria, Mexico, or any other communist nation. Evil men want evil things but cannot accomplish these goals without first putting the people into a state of fear of their own right to defense. If you still don’t understand look at Russia in the 1980’s where the holocaust of the white race was happening. Now they are trying to create thee same holocaust against the white race in California.
