   Halliburton has developed a non-toxic, bio-degradable fracking fluid, made from food-grade ingredients. This would go very far to increasing the safety of the fracking process in Illinois. The catch is, it IS more expensive than the witches’ brew of toxics the drillers are using elsewhere, and what’s being found in contaminated wells. We need to demand a higher standard here, and there’s no excuse not to except for pure greed now. Please, legislature, demand only safe, non-toxic fracking fluids, if you are going to allow fracking at all.
