    Palin

  3. - Oswego Willy - Monday, Sep 16, 13 @ 10:08 am:

“Well, Sonja Henie is out …”

That was for Tom Cross …

    Guesse?

Kay Hatcher still in the mix?

Did Erica Harold come to her senses?

The only two I can think at the moment on the front burner …

  4. - low level - Monday, Sep 16, 13 @ 10:08 am:

An female animal control center administrator from some county?

  5. - too obvious - Monday, Sep 16, 13 @ 10:09 am:

I hear State Senator Sue Rezin.

If true, great choice. In fact flip that ticket with Sue as Gov and you’ve got a winner.

  6. - Adam Smith - Monday, Sep 16, 13 @ 10:11 am:

Lucrezia Borgia would be a nice complement.

  7. - Angry Republican - Monday, Sep 16, 13 @ 10:15 am:

    Oprah

Darlene Ruscitti would be the “fun” pick to tweak Dillard…and i said “fun”, not saying that Ms. Ruscitti is in the mix.

  13. - Arthur Andersen - Monday, Sep 16, 13 @ 10:18 am:

    Michele Bachman?

  14. - Give Me A Break - Monday, Sep 16, 13 @ 10:18 am:

    Shirley or Lisa.

The Girl from the “Wendy’s” commercial?

  17. - LGHB - Monday, Sep 16, 13 @ 10:20 am:

Queen of DeNile would be a great running mate for a guy who still believes he won last time.

  18. - Bill White - Monday, Sep 16, 13 @ 10:20 am:

Sue Rezin would make sense especially since her state senate seat is not up for election this cycle.

  19. - Realist - Monday, Sep 16, 13 @ 10:23 am:

    I had heard Rezin too

  20. - Nearly Normal - Monday, Sep 16, 13 @ 10:25 am:

Rezin is from Central Illinois. A ticket with two from Central IL might be problematic–two peas in a pod appearance.

Here is her voting record from Project Vote Smart

  21. - Todd - Monday, Sep 16, 13 @ 10:28 am:

    Monique Davis?

  22. - Oswego Willy - Monday, Sep 16, 13 @ 10:30 am:

She is a junior litigator at the law firm Stern, Lockhart & Gardner, trying to juggle both home and professional life with the ongoing scandal surrounding her husband with whom she has two children, Zach and Grace.

She excels at keeping a cool exterior. She is rarely ruffled and almost always thinks through what she is going to say, choosing her words for maximum impact or sting.

She graduated from Georgetown University law school in the mid-1990s. After graduation she worked at Crozier, Abrams & Abbott.

I give you, the perfect choice:

    Alicia Florrick

  23. - low level - Monday, Sep 16, 13 @ 10:30 am:

    Betty Maltese?

  24. - Oswego Willy - Monday, Sep 16, 13 @ 10:32 am:

    Christine Radogno?

  25. - The Dragon's Breath - Monday, Sep 16, 13 @ 10:40 am:

If “Too Obvious” is correct, I would have to agree that Bill Brady was using his head on this particular choice. Rezin is one of those individuals in politics that is actually qualified for the position. She is definitely one of the more intelligent people down in Springfield. She is a compassionate conservative that is widely respected by members of both political parties down in Springfield. Choosing Rezin is much like choosing a Sheila Simon from the standpoint that neither of these women carries any negative political baggage with them. Both women are highly respected by the Republican Party and the Democrat Party, both women are extremely intelligent, both are held in high-regard by the state’s women voters, and both exhibit the social compassion that Illinois voters are looking for in our state government. She would be an excellent choice for either Brady or Rauner. I was always amazed that Rutherford overlooked a woman like Rezin for his running-mate and instead went with Steve Kim? Steve Kim is a nice guy but he has very little name recognition (despite having run against Lisa years ago). The women’s vote will be critical in this election. Rezin has proven to be an excellent speaker before a crowd. She is financially independent and votes her conscience on the issues. That part is not lost on the Illinois voters. It is rare to see an elected official vote against their own Party’s dictates but Rezin does so when she feels her party is wrong. Both Sheila Simon and Sue Rezin were cut out of the same cloth when it came to “doing the right thing” regardless of partisan politics.

Sheila Simon would “balance” the ticket.

  33. - hisgirlfriday - Monday, Sep 16, 13 @ 11:14 am:

@TheDragonsBreath - As a woman who makes up the “crucial” womans vote, why should I vote for a gubernatorial nominee based on how much that nominees powerless subordinate has in common with/appeals to me as a woman/person. I know next to nothing about either Steve Kim or Sue Rezin but I am curious where these women exist who are going to vote for Dillard/Rauner/Rutherford/Brady based on their lite gov choices? I mean I can understand a lite gov choice making you vote AGAINST someone, but for?

If she’s “one of the more intelligent people in Springfield” she’s smarter than her running mate.

  37. - Levois - Monday, Sep 16, 13 @ 11:29 am:

Some of these gag guesses for Lt. Gov. is hilarious. JJJ, Carole Moseley Braun, Miley Cyrus, his wife, Jason Plummer in a wig with a different name??? OMG I’m laughing so hard right now!

Alas I won’t even pretend to guess who he chooses, but he may want to reach out to someone in the Chicago area. Hopefully help him get more votes in the region.

I think Jennifer Pritzker is a repub. That would at least make it interesting to see how it would effect the other Pritzkers who are reliable big time dem backers. Unfortunately, I am pretty sure this would go over like a lead balloon in a GOP primary though.

Nice job with the Caddyshack quote

  57. - Oswego Willy - Monday, Sep 16, 13 @ 5:58 pm:

    - quick -,

    Glad you liked it.

    It was a two-fold response;

One for Rich asking who should be Brady’s runningmate and…

I am sure Two-Putt was watching the final round of the BMW in Lake Forest, so having the Caddyshack reference was to get him focues again.

    Appreciate, that you appreciated it.

  58. - Ruby - Monday, Sep 16, 13 @ 6:01 pm:

The most popular candidate would be Judy Topinka.

  59. - 1776 - Monday, Sep 16, 13 @ 6:21 pm:

It’s a lady named Maria Rodriguez. Mayor of Long Grove and former congressional candidate.

Roseanne Barr 1) to capitalize on the “Baar” name recognition in Illinois, and 2) because she’s still a bit confused about the “Green Tea Party” party (close enough, I suppose).

Oh, come on. Admit it. It’d be interesting to watch. ;)
