This soda/gatorade tax commentary in the feed is getting absurd. Someone just made the point that this tax will help reduce cancer.

As a commenter put it yesterday, why not tax donuts as well?

Mrs. Hunter, please stop listing all the reasons the government needs to protect me from myself and focus instead on the larger challenges facing our state and communities.

  2. - Chitownhv - Wednesday, Feb 19, 14 @ 12:45 pm:

Hey, Mo-D, his name is “Deval Patrick” NOT ” Patrick Deval”. If you’re gonna honor a guy, get his name right.

  3. - FormerParatrooper - Wednesday, Feb 19, 14 @ 6:16 pm:

Call the soda tax what it really is… A new revenue stream for the State. Just be honest, its not about obesity, it is about revenue.
