Your morning moment of Zen

Friday, May 23, 2014

* Oscar the Puppy showed up for the last inning or so of the House vs. Senate softball game this week. Oscar always loves being around people, so he had a great time. He was even tapped as a “K-9 softball analyst” by the Illinois Channel

Rich, you look great. (As does Oscar, of course.)

  2. - Fan - Friday, May 23, 14 @ 7:33 am:

Sully got Oscar to correctly predict a Senate victory…does Oscar know how this tax extension vote will go or who will win the Governor’s race?

  3. - Oswego Willy - Friday, May 23, 14 @ 7:37 am:

Oscar does media better than some in Illinois Government.

Oscar knows how to bring the Zen. Perfect way to start a Friday, and a holiday weekend.

  4. - The Colossus of Roads - Friday, May 23, 14 @ 7:45 am:

Oscar has really grown. Maybe time to drop “the puppy” from his name.

  5. - Archiesmom - Friday, May 23, 14 @ 7:51 am:

Oscar will always be a puppy!

  6. - Whalewatcher - Friday, May 23, 14 @ 7:53 am:

  9. - phocion - Friday, May 23, 14 @ 8:13 am:

Good to see someone else as pup crazy as I am. Dogs are great for your mental health.

  10. - gabe - Friday, May 23, 14 @ 8:31 am:

    Sully at his finest.

  11. - Grandson of Man - Friday, May 23, 14 @ 8:51 am:

“Rich, you look great. (As does Oscar, of course.)”

I agree. Thanks Rich for sharing the video. I wish him many happy years with his dog, as I’ve had with my dog.

Today I’m taking my 14 year old dog to the vet for her annual physical. She’s still hanging in there, though her hind legs are starting to give out. She’s my old puppy.

  12. - the Patriot - Friday, May 23, 14 @ 9:00 am:

Got a little cash for a bet, can you ask Oscar to handicap the Belmont?

  13. - A guy... - Friday, May 23, 14 @ 9:33 am:

That man doesn’t have a dog. That dog has a man. lol

  14. - 3rd Generation Chicago Native - Friday, May 23, 14 @ 9:42 am:

Who can resist a cute dog! Thanks for the Friday moment of fuzzy!

  15. - Walker - Friday, May 23, 14 @ 9:46 am:

Lost some weight Rich? Living well?

(I sure hope that’s you in the photo)

  16. - Carol Marin - Friday, May 23, 14 @ 9:56 am:

Rich Miller, I have never heard you talk baby-talk until your conversation with your puppy! It’s adorable. Would it work with politicians, do you think?

  17. - Rich Miller - Friday, May 23, 14 @ 9:58 am:

===Would it work with politicians, do you think? ===

    Highly doubtful. lol

  18. - Raising Kane - Friday, May 23, 14 @ 10:51 am:

I think Dave got more out of Oscar than he usually gets out of Rich.

  19. - Nearly Normal - Friday, May 23, 14 @ 1:12 pm:

Good looking dog and his “master” is as well. You both are good for each other.

Thanks for giving us our Zen moment. By this time next week, we will no doubt need many more!

  20. - Rich Miller - Friday, May 23, 14 @ 1:18 pm:

===does Oscar know how this tax extension vote will go or who will win the Governor’s race? ===

He does, but he refuses to speak on the record.

  21. - Just The Way It Is One - Friday, May 23, 14 @ 1:27 pm:

==He does, but refuses to speak on the record==

HILARIOUS! It’s been a rough couple of weeks but that takes the cake! Thanks for the smiley chuckle, bringing Oscar back into the Friday Cap Fax Mix today couldn’t have been better timing, and, lastly, hope you, your loved ones, and beloved Puppy throroughly enjoy a Happy Memorial Day Weekend! (Oh, and go SOX! Still hangin’ in there and only 1 1/2 Games out of the Wild Card as they start play tonight…+ “Kid” Sale is back)!!
