Question of the day

Tuesday, Jun 10, 2014 - Posted by Rich Miller

* Oops. I forgot to post a question today. It’s getting kinda late, so it needs to be an easy one. How about a caption of Bernie talking to JBT?

  3. - Jimmy - Tuesday, Jun 10, 14 @ 3:31 pm:

Yes, Judy, I’m not wearing anything under my kilt.

  4. - MrGrassroots - Tuesday, Jun 10, 14 @ 3:32 pm:

Read my lips, I don’t care which one wins as governor.

  5. - Oswego Willy - Tuesday, Jun 10, 14 @ 3:33 pm:

“You tell Sheila, she knows where she can find me…”

  6. - A guy... - Tuesday, Jun 10, 14 @ 3:34 pm:

Darn right I inhaled, just like this.

  7. - Publius - Tuesday, Jun 10, 14 @ 3:35 pm:

” Bernie, I will never lie to you.”

“You will never be Givernor, Judy.”

  8. - anonymoose - Tuesday, Jun 10, 14 @ 3:37 pm:

JBT should take care wearing a Star Trek red security outfit like that. Those characters are always the first to go.

  9. - Rich Miller - Tuesday, Jun 10, 14 @ 3:37 pm:

That’s an awful thin tape recorder, Bernie. How do the tapes fit in that thing?

  10. - Steve - Tuesday, Jun 10, 14 @ 3:37 pm:

“People mistake me for Kristi Noem all the time because we are Republicans.”

  11. - Arthur Andersen - Tuesday, Jun 10, 14 @ 3:38 pm:

“I’ll give ya ten bucks for that scarf.”

  12. - Stones - Tuesday, Jun 10, 14 @ 3:39 pm:

“Love that Burberry scarf. Can I borrow it sometime?”

  13. - wordslinger - Tuesday, Jun 10, 14 @ 3:40 pm:

“Mr Schoenberg, set phasers to stun….”

  14. - siriusly - Tuesday, Jun 10, 14 @ 3:42 pm:

No I don’t make the cheesecake myself. But I do my own hair !

  15. - Darienite - Tuesday, Jun 10, 14 @ 3:43 pm:

You never wear a pinstripe suit with a plaid scarf!! Who dressed you this morning?

  16. - Living in Machiaville - Tuesday, Jun 10, 14 @ 3:45 pm:

BS, “Tell me Judes, how do you keep your hair that lovely colour? Mine, as you can see, has turned this ghastly silver.”

  17. - MrGrassroots - Tuesday, Jun 10, 14 @ 3:45 pm:

Kind of personal isn’t it Bernie, but if you must know, I use Vidal Sassoon Pro Series Hair Color, and it gives me up to 8 weeks of vibrant colors.

    What Bernie?

    Well, red, of course.

  18. - Oswego Willy - Tuesday, Jun 10, 14 @ 3:46 pm:

“No, Bernie, I don’t know where Bruce is today, but I do know Cross is golfing, so …”

  19. - sirlancelot - Tuesday, Jun 10, 14 @ 3:48 pm:

Bernie, I love that scarf. Did you get that from Goodwill?

  20. - Carol Marin - Tuesday, Jun 10, 14 @ 3:50 pm:

Bernie, I love the jaunty way you wear your Burberry scarf. I bought one at a rummage sale once! What did you pay?

  21. - 47th Ward - Tuesday, Jun 10, 14 @ 3:54 pm:

No keep it, please, I’ve got plenty more. I got that one at a yard sale in Berwyn last summer, which is the best time to get the choice winter stuff, trust me. I talked that lady down to 75 cents. It’s real Burberry. She wanted $5. True story.

You think I’m cheap, you should see these tough Bubuskas, can they haggle! The trick is, see, you take off your make-up and jewelry before you get there, and then dress like you’re living on a meager railroad pension, sprinkle in a few phrases from the old country, tell them they have the cleanest garage you’ve ever seen, and voila, they’ll start coming your way on the prices. Get there early for the selection, come back later for the deals. That’s my strategy anyways.

Hey, you should come up to Riverside sometime Bernie. I’ll show you how we roll on Cermak.

  22. - meh. - Tuesday, Jun 10, 14 @ 3:58 pm:

BS - “There are breaking allegations that I stole your scarf. Would you care to respond?”

    JBT - (see expression)

  23. - OneMan - Tuesday, Jun 10, 14 @ 4:14 pm:

No did you get pictures of the Governor on the Chopper for Miller?

  24. - Upon Further Review - Tuesday, Jun 10, 14 @ 4:15 pm:

I am sorry to see that you will not be judging the “Highland Games” in Wauwatosa.

  25. - 47th Ward - Tuesday, Jun 10, 14 @ 4:16 pm:

OK, just for the record, what were you thinking?

  26. - Observation - Tuesday, Jun 10, 14 @ 4:28 pm:

JBT - “(singing) Oh Danny Boy… Oh wait, you mean this isn’t Singing with the Executive Branch?”

  27. - GA Watcher - Tuesday, Jun 10, 14 @ 4:37 pm:

I had a babushka just like your scarf as a kid. Then my father got a job.

  28. - sal-says - Tuesday, Jun 10, 14 @ 4:53 pm:

What’s with the scarf? Looks nice tho.

  29. - Cletus Purcel - Tuesday, Jun 10, 14 @ 5:04 pm:

Don’t do it Clete. Don’t say it. Don’t do it, Clete.

  30. - Anonymous - Tuesday, Jun 10, 14 @ 5:28 pm:

“Judy, where on earth did you get that heavenly bag? I hate this strap I have on mine”…..

  31. - Just The Way It Is One - Tuesday, Jun 10, 14 @ 7:28 pm:

“Ohhhhhhhhh no, Bernie–let me be clear, once again. Straight up. For the Record: I will NOT retire after winning this upcoming Election–I still feel like I’m 21 half the time now ANYway…AND I may just not run for CompTROLLer again NEXT time in 4 years, EIther! If Rauner and the Republicans lose again this year…we’ll–not SAYin’, but–WE’LL see who the People think is still the Right–and REAL–Republican to move into the Governor’s Mansion in 4 years if there’s an Open Seat–WE’LL see…!”

  32. - Nearly Normal - Tuesday, Jun 10, 14 @ 7:37 pm:

“Bernie, if you want a real Scotsman’s sash, I can tell you where you can get one at a good price! In fact, I can get you a kilt to go with that sash. And a real nice belt and sporran as well. What? No, it’s the fur bag the Scotsmen wear in front of their kilt. Kilts don’t have pockets. You can keep your recorder in there.

  33. - zatoichi - Tuesday, Jun 10, 14 @ 8:14 pm:

It’s polka that keeps me going. That accordion just pulls me out to the floor.

  34. - A modest proposal - Tuesday, Jun 10, 14 @ 9:25 pm:

Pictured: Two very nice and hardworking people from the state of Illinois.

  35. - PublicServant - Wednesday, Jun 11, 14 @ 7:42 am:

B: Judy, any comments on the Derrick Smith guilty verdict?

    JBT: What was he thinking?
