Tuesday, Jul 22, 2014 - Posted by Rich Miller * You can see all of the digital materials on the governor’s anti-violence initiative which were collected by the Auditor General by clicking here. Many thanks to Andrew Garrett for the link. …Adding… We killed the link with too much traffic. Heh. Working on a solution.

As long as we are doing an oppo dump, here is what the head of the National Federation of Independent Businesses had to say about expanding the sales tax to include services:
“New sales taxes…will do nothing to improve the state’s competitiveness. In fact, it will drive away businesses, discourage job creation and make life a lot more expensive.”
- Kim Clarke Maisch, October, 2011.
Todd Maisch has made similar statements about how the Thompson-Martire-Meeks-Rauner Tax is bad for our economy.

Capitol Fax is the go-to, must-read political hot spot…thanks for this unfortunate link. This anti-violence program is not only appalling in light of lack of oversight,, but also because Chicago really needs creative anti-violence initaitives!
