Miller - and I’m not trying to suck up.

  2. - Oswego Willy - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 2:18 pm:

Had a roommate who was St. Louis everything. Since then, Miller products if I have a choice. Still one of my favorite people, but it has made great fun for us both.

Let’s remember, the best beer is a free, cold, beer.

  3. - Anonymoiis - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 2:19 pm:

I prefer Bud, but have a soft spot for Miller having worked many fairs near the old Miller tent, and I like cheap beer and music in general, so…both?

  4. - elginkevin - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 2:19 pm:

My brother says people who drink Budweiser usually won’t drink Miller and vice versa. So just go with Coors.

  5. - Anonymoiis - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 2:21 pm:

==the best beer is a free, cold, ==

Agree, I wish the Fair had even one of those

Miller High Life: The Champagne of Beers.

Plus, you might be the only Miller in the Bud tent.

  7. - wordslinger - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 2:21 pm:

My Beechwood aging is going well. Bud tent.

  8. - Finally Out (formerly Ready to Get Out) - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 2:24 pm:

Prefer the Bud products, but wife likes Miller. We go to both, but usually the one that has the music we like.

  9. - Ron Burgundy - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 2:25 pm:

Both are fine, but lean to Bud due to St. Louis area home.

  10. - The Captain - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 2:25 pm:

On race days they usually have an OTB window at the Bud tent so that tends to win out.

  11. - Sunshine - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 2:28 pm:

Spent years in both the Miller tent and the Bud tent. Whomever has the best music….DeLuxury, Pork and the Havana Ducks, Jules Blatner, etc. ,

  12. - RNUG - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 2:29 pm:

Since I’ll drink a Pepsi anyway, it depends on which band is playing.

  13. - Keyser Soze - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 2:29 pm:

Less filling and tastes great! For those who remember.

  14. - William j Kelly - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 2:37 pm:

More research is necessary before I can make my findings public.

  15. - buffalo soldier - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 2:39 pm:

    Bud tent. SUPPORT THE VETS

  16. - JS Mill - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 2:40 pm:

Whichever I can get to first.

  17. - Bunson8r - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 2:41 pm:

    Bud tent.

They’re pretty much the same beer. I just like Bud commercials better.

  18. - walker - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 2:56 pm:

What, no free coupons this year?

  19. - Jerome Horwitz - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 2:57 pm:

I believe that Miller is a pilsner beer and Bud is a lager beer. I prefer lager beer.

  20. - Modest proposal - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 2:58 pm:

New Glarus tent - the fair is short on Spotted Cows.

  21. - ad rock - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 3:00 pm:

I’m hoping there will be a medical marijuana tent next year. It’s far fewer calories.

Just imagine the run on deep fried Snickers bars!

  22. - No Longer A Lurker - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 3:00 pm:

Bud, a lager over a pilsner any day of the week.

  23. - VanillaMan - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 3:17 pm:

    Miller!

St. Louis beer is made with Mississippi water and owned by some stinky outfit out of Belgium called InBev.

  24. - Anonymous - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 3:19 pm:

miller,( back in the day you could see the mouse inside)

  25. - Living in Machiaville - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 3:25 pm:

Prefer the taste of Bud over Miller but if watching my waistline then I prefer Miller Lite over Bud Light. Weird I suppose. In the end, I agree with others as to what band is playing. Also there are lots of other choices for better premium beers out there. Coors Light? Only if its the last thing left.

  26. - dupage dan - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 3:29 pm:

Back when I was a kid, my Dad drank “The Champaign of Bottled Beers”. I thought he was ultra-special cause he only drank the best. Miller.

  27. - CommoNooB - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 3:53 pm:

    BUD NATION! JUNIOOOOOOOOR!

  28. - Anonymous - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 3:58 pm:

When you say Bud you said it all. (Just depends on what you want to say.)

  29. - Slapshot - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 4:08 pm:

    Bud Tent.

  30. - The Dark Horse - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 4:15 pm:

    Miller. Not even close.

  31. - Norseman - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 4:15 pm:

I don’t know this Bud guy. Glad Rich has a tent, where is it?

  32. - Norseman - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 4:16 pm:

    Yes that was snark.

    I’m with RNUG.

  33. - Buddy - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 4:36 pm:

    La Qunitas

  34. - Arthur Andersen - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 4:48 pm:

Wherever you can get a Diet Coke.

  35. - Chicago Bars - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 4:53 pm:

Miller tent. They’ve got more jobs in Illinois. Then off to the couch for some Illinois craft brews.

Though the years long legal battle over whether Bud could legally buy their Chicagoland distributors sure supported some lawyer jobs too.

  36. - Oswego Willy - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 4:55 pm:

Note to self: stock up on Diet Coke at the Campaign Office.

Big fan of the “Champagne of Beer” of all the Miller products if ranking.

  37. - Big Muddy - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 4:58 pm:

    Which is free? That one.

  38. - 47th Ward - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 5:13 pm:

No snark, Miller Brewing is currently doing a promotion called #IAMRICH.

    http://www.youtube.com/millerhighlife

And, well, since you are Rich, and Rich Miller at that, can there be any other choice but to park yourself in the Miller tent and ask if they have any IAMRICH tee shirts? Get one XXL for you, and one L for Bruce Rauner.

    #YOUARERICH

  39. - Ali Nagib - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 5:13 pm:

I know the medical marijuana program is starting to roll out in Illinois but I didn’t know they had a tent at the State Fair already.

  40. - Anonymous - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 5:26 pm:

–No snark, Miller Brewing is currently doing a promotion called #IAMRICH–

Those are weird spots. Kind of depressing actually. I don’t get the takeaway.

I much prefer the new “Lite” campaign that ties Lite to your parents hooking up and producing you. Very funny and well done.

Never underestimate the power of good advertising. Miller created the whole light beer category with good advertising put behind a cheap rummy beer called Meister Brau.

  41. - Cheryl44 - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 5:36 pm:

    Is there a wine tent?

  42. - Anonymous - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 5:43 pm:

    =Is there a wine tent?=

    There are two.
    Democrat and Republican.

  43. - Sunshine - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 5:57 pm:

    Wine…..not whine!

  44. - Coach - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 7:49 pm:

The bud tent especially on harness race days the ticket seller there for the horse races is just the nicest guy you will ever meet!

  45. - Enviros-Anon - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 8:26 pm:

    Ice tea, please!

  46. - foster brooks - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 9:04 pm:

miller, bud is made from rice which contains high levels of arsenic

  47. - Soccertease - Wednesday, Aug 13, 14 @ 9:09 pm:

Bud tent. Can’t beat the King of Beers.

  48. - David E. Miller - Thursday, Aug 14, 14 @ 6:42 am:
