In 2013, Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd used a variation of this against Tony Abbott. Rudd at least had the decency to tweak the slogan to “if he wins, you lose”. Does this count as “outsourcing” your campaign’s creativity? In fact, it’s pretty much the working message for every negative spot ever made. I get Quinn’s in a tight spot. And the other guy gets to say all kinds of crazy contradictory stuff and claim the jobs is easy. That’s life in the NFL.
