That somehow on November 9th this won’t be over.

And the other thing that scares me is that in 9 days the race for 2018 will begin. *shudder*

  19. - Anonymous - Monday, Oct 31, 16 @ 2:56 pm:

What scares me the most is Rauner will end up with everything on his wish list.

Rauner picks up 2/3 of 1 house seat (only in Illinois) and the Stalemate gets staler.

  33. - Last Bull Moose - Monday, Oct 31, 16 @ 3:37 pm:

That the Guns of August we discussed in 2014 have become the the Battles of Verdun and Somme in 2016. Are we now heading for an election to end all elections?

  34. - Oneman - Monday, Oct 31, 16 @ 3:37 pm:

That Bruce Rauner is in fact OW and he and Rich have been engaged in one long troll…

  35. - LessAnon? - Monday, Oct 31, 16 @ 3:41 pm:

In all seriousness, Rauner leaves office in 18, nothing is done to change the way the state spends money, a tax hike is passed, and nothing is done to make the state more appealing to businesses, people looking for a place to move to and people seriously considering fleeing the perpetual mess.

  36. - Oswego Willy - Monday, Oct 31, 16 @ 3:44 pm:

    What scares me?

    Rauner’s money! “Why?”

He personally made the golf outing obsolete!

Governor Blagovich, you are free to go and the court also rules that you be reinstated as Governor of Illinois

  71. - Oswego Willy - Monday, Oct 31, 16 @ 5:25 pm:

    - Oneman -

It’s that whole Executive usurping the independence of the Legislative thingy…

… that and the IllinoisGo, no party, just Rauner, mantra.

    Other than… that…

  72. - peon - Monday, Oct 31, 16 @ 5:50 pm:

Constitutional amendment fails that we pick our Governor in future by having a bind-folded monkey stick a pin into the telephone directory at the state fair. /s

  73. - formerpro - Monday, Oct 31, 16 @ 6:05 pm:

We want what we want, but we don’t want to pay for what we want. It will take strong leadership to lead the public to the sensible realization that Illinois needs new revenue. It will take strong leadership to enact progressive new revenue streams. Am I the only person who sees nobody capable of exerting the required leadership?

  77. - Stumpy's bunker - Monday, Oct 31, 16 @ 10:50 pm:

…a scenario where the governor could pick our state “representatives”…(oh…wait…it’s a nightmare we’re already living in central Illinois)
