Wear a mask, don’t party inside, avoid large crowds where people aren’t wearing masks, wash your hands and use common sense.

There is a true “tipping point” for filling a hospital. After it tips, mortality skyrockets. And the recovery from the overload takes a very long time. The people of Illinois did a great job so far in preventing this. Please do what needs to be done.

Why is this so hard? Seriously, wear a mask, you can breathe in it. When I was in college I had to wear a cartridge filter mask for hours while scraping the inside of Chemlawn truck tanks. You can do this. I am a morbidly obese middle-aged man and I can pull it off. So can you.
I legitimately don’t understand this resistance at all, heck I was a Bruce Rauner defender here so I can rationalize with the best. But come on.

If it was on CNN it is not that trustworthy of a source. I am tired of people manipulating the statistics. Just because you have COVID it doesn’t mean your a COVID patient. Case in point you go into the hospital with a broken arm. You test positive for COVID you are still a broken arm patient not a COVID patient.

Umm, if you’re hospitalized in a covid ward. That’s where they put covid patients.
You do realize this is a story about patients actually in the hospital right?
Perhaps you should go back to watching your covid denying network - Fox news. No covid issues. Nothing to see here. Right?

The explosion from 4% positive to 20% positive in 30 days is just plain scary. I feel like the Germans on June 5th. Under threat but with a chance to manage it.

Yes, everyone should watch this. I like the positive message showing medical people are learning better techniques to treat patients. On the other hand, the message to take this seriously is loud and clear, straight from the people most affected.
