  1. You can add the Bloomington Pantagraph to the growing field of Illinois media to whack Alexander’s campaign. ,
Matt: At best this will be learning experience for Giannoulias. Lesson one: Don’t describe the convicted criminal Michael “Jaws” Giorango, whom your family-owned bank gave a loan to, as a “very nice person.”

Giorango was found guilty in connection with a bookmaking ring that threatened debtors with bombings and beatings.

To be fair, the shrewd genius of Springfield, Bernie Schoenberg tries to label the generally negative media coverage a a few stories about bad loans. Way to stay on top of things Bernie

  2. I’m a regular it’s my mind reader…. and speaking of Illinoize, when is the event?

    Still doing it in Springfield?

  3. about the 6cd… have any of the three Dem candidates talked about Fiengold’s censure? Have they talked about their views on impeachment?

  4. I tried to get us in as co-sponsors of the annual House-Senate softball game, but called too late. Next year. Things have been just so busy that I haven’t had time to breathe, let alone do a party. I’ll get on it right after primary day.

  6. Anyone else notice that the latest Sangamon County Democrats and Chico Belle mailings don’t have any “paid for by” messages on them? Do the rules not apply a few days before an election?

  7. While the tritium leak was a minor thing, we need to make a Big Deal out of punishing those that were behind a coverup. It’s idjits like tme that make it so hard for nuclear to make a comeback against agitated citizen objections, and we NEED moer nuclear power. But we need it run with total honesty and transparency, with a scrupulous dedication to procedures. Anybody that doesn’t want to play by those rules needs to quit or go to jail.

  8. About the tritium spills. The Braidwood area has taxed taxed and taxed that power plant. Now they are probably going to go the lawsuit route. Once the gravy train derails - so will go all those nice ballfields and field houses that those taxes paid for. Just hope the settlements will cover the tax increases.

  9. Wow, Oberweis is really going to call himself te outsider in this race? First, he goes to GRyan for support then he promotes Sclafly endorsing him even though she endorsed Ryan a few years ago? He must be desperate to act like he has pro-life support.

Just because he can’t get elected for any office doesn’t make him an outsider. I’m voting for the guy with a track record of fighting for the people of Illinois, even if it meant fighting against a governor of his own party. Bill Brady is the real independent conservative.
