The House just adjourned until next week. No budget meeting today.
The House will return Tuesday and Wednesday next week, and Tuesday and Wednesday the following week. The Senate, of course, is gone for the next two weeks.

Perhaps the Illinois House could work on a proposed amendment or two to the state constitution (final action on any such proposal has to finished six months before the General Election) during the next two weeks. I’m sure readers here can come up with a variety of proposed changes that might improve the way Illinois government is run.

Rich, I think you should do a question asking what bills yet to be considered, that the Senate and House should take a look at when they actually start working again.
Obviously a budget bill. The state should also probably do something to address the various bill cleaning up the wine laws. I believe there are several lawsuits going on and our law is unconstitutional. The future of internet wine sales is at stake, and I dont know about anyone else, but I’d be mad if I couldn’t buy online. .
