  1. –A group of protesters is asking that the city pay for protesters who were injured — physically and mentally — in scuffles with police during the NATO Summit weekend.–

    Check’s in the mail.

I am, in general, favorably inclined towards the positions of many of the protesters.

But payment for “mental trauma?” That’s embarrassing and undercuts any message they were hoping to get across.

I don’t think John Lewis sued for “mental trauma” after he got his head stoved in on the Selma Bridge. Yet, somehow, he continued and still does.

Walk it like you talk it or stay home and shut up.

  2. So Fran Eaton at IR congratulates those Senators who voted No or Present on the “Bullying Bill”, since they bravely stood up against allowing school districts to bully children into accepting the homosexual lifestyle.

That takes the cake for twisted language and logic, even for Illinois Review.

The bill was about preventing all sorts of bullying by students, and requires schools to implement their already legally required policies.

  3. Mark
Are you saying IR is part of the homophobic Religious Right? Hard to believe!
