Lunch Pail Republicans airing ads for Dold, Biggert

Posted in:

* The Lunch Pail Republicans PAC is spending $54,000 on cable TV ads in two congressional districts. Here’s the one in the 10th CD for incumbent Bob Dold. Rate it

The other cable ad is for Congresswoman Judy Biggert. That one isn’t online yet.

  3. Glad to know Dold supported so many infrastructure, jobs and spending bills. What was the price tag for all of that spending? Why didn’t they list the bill numbers? How come his colleagues in the House GOP caucus voted against these kinds of bills over and over?

Finally, how stupid do they think the voters are? The House GOP blocked almost every bill designed to do what Dold is being praised for.

  4. Wow, that was terrible. They honestly might have been better off setting the $54k on fire.

  6. Great spot. Who knew the House GOP was all New Dealy and Keynesian, using government to create jobs in tough times for long-term economic benefits?

It’s pathetic — that knuckle-dragging crew doesn’t even have an idea to sell. They have to steal an idea that they’ve virulently blocked from Day One.

Yesterday, the Senate GOP, led by some big brain from Alabama, used the filibuster to kill a $1 billion jobs bills that would have put unemployed Iraq and Afghanistan vets to to work tending the national parks.

They used to call that conservation. Now it’s socialism.

  8. I find it very ineffective. Any high school student can make the same thing on their Mac.

I prefer when bill numbers are listed. Not that I ever look them up, but at least I know some research was done for the ad. It’s like saying he saved a kitten from a burning tree, but offers no witness to prove it.

  9. Not a great ad. But let’s take a step back. First, the House GOP supports a long-term transportation bill. Second, some of the mini-stimulus plans being bandied about would have done nothing for infrastructure. A lot of freshman House GOP members are in favor of transportation funding. Some voted against legislation because the extension was too short or there wasn’t enough to adequately fund projects.
