Let’s make it easier for Mexican drug dealers to profit from the meth trade. We really want El Chapo’s successor to have a good first year in charge, right. So ban all the possible meth ingredients sold in US products, and the Mexican dealers will have a clear field.
If folks really want to use meth, they’ll get it
somehow, whatever the government does. That’s why the international drug trade is so super-lucrative. And given the hundreds of billions of $$$ involved, and our voracious US appetite for all kinds of illegal drugs, somebody will always take the risks necessary to sell this stuff.
Should certain medications be limited for sale in bulk to deter the meth trade. Sure. Should I have to go to the doc to get a decongestant? Please.

Re cops taking your license for speeding: this happened to me a couple of times and it took me a couple of weeks or more to get the license back. If you want to have a backup form of ID available in case this happens to you, get a State ID card — the kind that’s issued to non-drivers — at your local SOS driver’s facility. You can have both an ID card and a driver’s license at the same time, plus, the ID card costs less and is in effect for a longer period (believe it’s 6 years instead of 4).
