  1. ===SJ-R Breaking News @SJRbreaking

    Judge puts off ruling in suit against Rutherford===

    Well, that isn’t good news in the short term. The rationale in trying to get it dismissed in the long term reeks of, “Well, I kinda, mighta, sorta, used colorful language, maybe … but …”

    How is that State Investigative Report on the matter doing? Collecting dust? At some point, the accuser wants some of this out there, on the record, and this game of Chicken(?) might end up more like chicken salad.

  2. Good job filling in this week, Barton.

    Thanks for keeping things going while the chief was on vacation.

    Illinois Connected @ILConnected

    Crain’s: After 50 years, it’s last call for John Barleycorn

    I guess its Yak-Zies now after a Loss?

    Isn’t that what often happens when someone asks for an opportunity to respond to a motion to dismiss? Seems pretty standard stuff that probably doesn’t mean much at this point one way or the other.

  5. ===Matt Buedel @JournoBuedel

    The real #Peoria Mayor Jim Ardis (frfr) has responded to @LucianoPhil for a column (but still not calling back reporters). Hint: no regrets===

    No regrets?

    Tells you all you need to know about the Dopey Peoria Mayor;

    I care less about the People’s Rights, Rahm Emanuel has more class in his missing finger than I do, I will use all my police powers to Bully, to Trample, and to Ignore the Constitution.

    A “bad guy”

  6. re John Barleycorn: Used to go there in the 80s. Played classical music and flashed impressionist paintings on the wall. One of the few bars I could actually talk to someone in.

  7. - a drop in -,

    It was “in the rotation”, but not on the “playlist” or a must.
