As Evelyn and I continue to roll out our plans to shake up Springfield, we want to make sure you know about our next big step.
Step One in our “Bring Back Blueprint” is putting term limits on career politicians. Step Two is cutting wasteful spending and reforming state government. And now we’re getting ready to unveil Step Three.
Since you are a key part of our team, we want you to be the first to see what’s next when we roll it out later today. With so many people around Illinois using social media to communicate, we are going to release our next step on Twitter and Facebook. If you haven’t already, you’ll want to click here to like our Facebook page and to follow us on Twitter, click here.

So maybe Bruce and “Slip and Sue” are hiding the pixie dust magic and chicken cages fir Step Four; Baloney Sandwiches.

Maybe “Step Five” has “Slip and Sue” stand before the press, and turn them into chickens, while using the Pixie Dust to make Quinnocchio a real boy.
Of course that will flop too when Evelyn slips on the stage and sues every major media attending.

Those were steps one and two in the master plan to apply salve on Illinois’ many ailments?
Those seemed more like sideshow acts more than the basis of serious plan.
Maybe step 3 is where we roll out the “real” stuff? No?

Step 3 is a 7 step process to release steps 4-5, to be followed by a ‘pause’ in order for all the steps to be absorbed. Shortly after the pause steps 6-19 will be released daily by carrier pigeons.

Step 3: “Reform Corporate Welfare”
Wow. Bruce just took over a Progressive Label and meme for his campaign.
Details: 1. “Reform EDGE Tax credits.”
He doesn’t say end them. Old news stories are referenced to show that money has been wasted. No actual reforms, corrections, or ideas detailed or outlined. (Just like in his Step 2 Budget Savings Plan)
2. “End Corporate Tax Loopholes”.
Surprise, surprise! Actual tax loopholes are named which should be removed, including for the oil industry, for large corporations with complex structures, and for fancy yachts and airplanes. Where numbers are provided they seem to total a claimed potential save of around $120M. (Some look like they could be maintained by moving corporate entities technically to other states.)
More symbolic than substantial given our fiscal needs — but a start. At least he specified something real for the first time in his campaign, and not at all what the Koch Bros and their friends would want.
More than I expected.
The first detail of anything proposed with numbers provided by Rauner. At least that’s a start.

So his step 1 is term limits … for everyone but the Gov and other executive branches.
Is he planning to add a hippo(crite) to go with his chickens.
I’m sure the Rauner Tribune will go ga-ga for taking away their paper subsidy.

Synonym for what Rauner will release: Step “Whatever.” Sure not expectin’ much after those Sophomoric efforts in Steps “1 and 2…”(!)
