I wanted to share some great news with you. We just got back from Washington yesterday and guess what, they are going all in. I’m not just saying that to try and pump up the room, they really are.
In fact, just to show how invested they really are, they made a $100,000 investment. That’s money in hand and ready to use to take on Bill Foster now! THIS IS HUGE. That means that Washington is seeing the same things we are, and that is the voters of the 11th district are ready for a change and they want Darlene Senger!
This race is moving fast. Just a couple weeks ago we saw a poll come out showing us within 4.5 points. What many don’t know is that in just 40 days our campaign moved 4 points. This is HUGE, and it is because of your help and the groundwork we are doing now.

If she pulls this off, Foster being a one term congressman from two different districts would be different.

Bragging because powerful people in Washington back her?
Foster may be able to raise more money and get more votes off that piece than she does.

Gee…just no pleasing some commenters anymore. If Ms. Senger receives no campaign funds from DC - DC is “writing her off.” Ms. Senger gets some money from DC - now she is taking DC blood money, its not enough, poorly written release, a bad campaign staff…..etc.

If I recall correctly (and I could be in error) when Bill Foster first filed to for Hastert’s seat (eventually facing Jim Oberweis) we filed a campaign finance disclosure loaning $1,000,000 to his campaign.
I also recall that Sandack / Matune and Berrios / Guzzardi each spent $1 million combined on a primary election for an IL House seat, not a general election for a U.S. House seat.

You are correct, sent a big message to Linda Chapa-LaVia and others, he also won that primary race by a very small margin to a guy who spent next to nothing.

Senger should have made the press release about only being back 4.5 points and mentioned the $100 grand in it. If she’s really only 4.5 out right now Foster is anything but safe.

John Laesch is a terrific guy who would have held serve on Hultgren in the off year. Foster is a dilemma: a solid party vote but not engaging or charming. He does goofy stuff — instead of trying to take back the seat he lost, he moves; he ponies up $1m to scare off potential primary competition; moves his business to WI. Foster = mini-Rauner?
Senger has tripped, slipped and pratfell her way to a close race. If she ever gets reliable campaign help Foster could blow it AGAIN.
