A grand good morning to you all!

Posted in:

* Sometimes, you can just get too deep into the weeds of these crazy campaigns - the meaningless minutiae, the intrinsically harmful weirdness, the outlandish character assassination, the moment by instantaneous moment hyper-partisan negativity. When you feel that happening, you gotta step back, man; take a deep, cleansing breath, blow out all the irony and ask yourself: “Ain’t life grand?” Turn it up for Widespread Panic

The sun came out the other day
Through those dusty clouds
And in my mind I was a child
And it felt good!

  1. Nice!

    Thanks for keeping it real.

I still can’t believe that Bruce Rauner can’t name a single business that created jobs in 32 years.

He had one go bankrupt every 2 and a half years, on average.

Great way to characterize it Rich. I’m glad I’m not in the trenches any more & can observe from a distance.

  4. “Sometimes, you can just get too deep into the weeds…”

Ironically, many folks first start getting deep into the weed at Widespread Panic shows.

  7. You need to have a like button for comments like MrJM’s. Speaking about jam bands, I used to work at a organic grocery store in Burlington, VT in college. Saw members of Phish on almost a daily basis.

  9. I love the last verse, and the ending. Thanks for sharing.

Without the unforced joy of childhood and the innocence of feeling good for its own sake, whats’ the point?

    Stay young, my friends.
