Strange to recall a time when the “news” was the daily paper, a half hour each of Fahey Flynn and Huntley and Brinkley, and a weekly magazine’s cover art could pack a wallop.
Trippy to see the Golden Jet pop up there among Ho Chi Minh, LBJ, Nixon and Breznev.

I tried to Google the answer but I seem to recall (as a very young man) at least one legislative session that went past the 4th of July. This was of course prior to the deadline being changed from 6/30 to 5/31. This is shaping up to be one of those years.

Great start to the day. Brings back all the memories of going to Chances R in Champaign and hearing this song during my college days in the late 60’s. What a terrible era in our country.
