  1. Very similar to “Dreams I’ll Never See” by Molly Hatchet. An old favorite of mine.

  2. Allman Brothers is a great pick. Duane Allman and Dickey Betts re-wrote how to play guitars together. I heard Oswego Willy’s favorite is ” I’m no angel”.

  6. Stones: I think it is the same song as Hatchet. Concerned: Yes, Rauner was in the Allman Brothers (and Ohio Express as well.)

  7. Great tune from a great band. One of my favorite albums, their first. Great tunes up and down the album. Their first bassist, the late Berry Oakley, was born in Chicago.

  9. I’m hoping that one day soon The Allman Brothers song “Ain’t Wasting Time No More” will be appropriate.

  11. With all due respect to Deadheads. In the 70’s during gas crisis we drove to D.C. and RFK stadium to see Allman Brothers followed by the Dead. It was over 90 degrees and Humid. Saw the Allman Brothers (great), left and never heard a note from the Dead. Went back to room and took a 3 hour nap. Went to dinner and after dinner the fans were Streaming out, the Dead concert had just ended.

  12. True story:
Used to live next to a stage manager for Greg Allman band..after he had broken up with Cher. My friend said Greg was a person of few words ..However one time they were in a hotel room..and they were watching a TV program with Cher. Greg looked up nonchalantly and muttered “B@tch”..and that was all he said..lol

  14. Has there ever been a better side one to a first album?

Cool forensics note: An annual surge in counterfeit bills in NYC was attributed to the Brothers’ annual week-long stand at the Beacon Theatre. What a demographic the gents from Macon have!
