Noland offers to stop sending e-mails for $10

Posted in:

* State Sen. Michael Noland’s congressional campaign sent out a fundraising e-mail today entitled “the last email you will read”…

How many emails have gotten today?

My guess is, this is not the first email you’ve received this week from a candidate or organization asking you for money before the critical September 30th campaign filing deadline. I will also venture to guess that this will not be the last one you get this week.

Well, I am willing to make a deal with you. If you chip in $10 (or more) today, my campaign promises that we will NOT email you again until after the deadline has passed.

How does that sound? Will you chip in $10 today so that my campaign will stop bugging you for money?

We think $10 is a small price to pay to help send a true progressive to congress and to stop these annoying emails!

Thank you again for your support.

Mike Noland

OK, first of all, he really needs a proofreader.

And second, the “deadline” is in five days.

How much to make them stop forever?

Sounds like your desperate Senator. Lol. After 64K last quarter, I doubt Noland has 100K cash on hand. Raja will probably have 900K CoH. Noland, it’s not to late to bow out and keep your senate seat…

  3. How much to make Mike Noland to just go “away-away”

    So lemme understand this;

A campaign… sent an email… to give the “option”… of never hearing from the candidate again… for cash…

How little do yiu think of your candidate that you put an actual price… to be silenced?

    “Look, make it $7.50, then I’ll give…”

How utterly ignorant of a Crew that thinks… then sends…. an email saying the candidate is worth so little.

It’s embarrassing on so many levels, the snickering has to sound like a field of crickets.

Heck, how much to make Mike Noland to just go away, now I really want to know, because if it’s like $13.80 or $17.75 or $19.55… I would pay it, then vote against him just on principle.

    Amateurs. Noland and his amateurs.

    Pathetic.

  4. All of the campaigns are overdoing the emails for dollars thing and they are running out of ever more dramatic pitches concerning the end of the world if you don’t send them money by midnight.

  12. Someone did some research on this. They offered if you give X and we will not contact you for a year and it was very effective.

In this case, it is kind of silly.

  13. MurMan - May be a bit late for Noland to turn back now. Two Dems are out passing petitions for his seat as we speak. I doubt either will change their mind if he reverses course.

  16. The filter on my e-mail system works just fine. As it is free, I would use it rather than pay the $10. In an emergency the ‘delete’ button works just fine and is also free.

  17. I agree it is cheaper and permanent to just unsubscribe / block / black list.

However, I can see where they got the idea / model. Some web sites (Wiki comes to mind) ask you once a year for support and leave you alone the rest of the time.

  19. This is one of those times — like Squeezy or tne Chicken Budget plan — where you’d really like to see the gimmicks that were rejected for this “winner.”

  20. Bluefish, I live in Schsumburg township and know both candidates seeking to replace Noland. They would both drop out. Even if they didn’t, Noland would crush them in a primary. I’ve seen recent polling. Noland has very good name req and favorablity numbers in his district.
