  10. I’m so sad. And so lucky. The first time I laid eyes on the real David Bowie was in 1980 when he came to Chicago and performed the lead in The Elephant Man. He was fantastic. Next it was the Serious Moonlight Tour in 1983 or so. And last, the supposed last tour of his old stuff, in 1992 way down at The World. Suffragette City always gets me. Listening to Lazarus and watching the video is so overwhelming. Peace to Iman and the kids. what a genius.

  11. This was the first Bowie video I ever paid any attention to. This shows just how rocking, subversive and really, really funny this guy could be. He also had some of the musicians switch instruments so everything sounds eschew.

    He didn’t care if his fans followed his next phase or not. Like Miles Davis, he was totally fearless.
