Thankfully, Madigan does not control the weather

Posted in:

* Heh…

Gov. Bruce Rauner issues "Statement on Tornado Damage." And uncharacteristically does not blame Mike Madigan or the supermajority.

— Scott Fornek (@sfornek) June 23, 2016

It’s obviously not a joking matter to the folks who were injured or suffered property damage, so I’ll just apologize right now in case Scott’s tweet upsets anybody.

But dark humor is all we’ve got left in this state.

  3. Probably not a good idea to joke about these kinds of things. It’s been a rough couple years in some regions.

  4. It’s clever and funny not because of the victims of the weather, but because of our joke of a Governor and his followers that treat Madigan as an unaddressable force of nature.

  7. He’s going to sites of the damage tomorrow. Look for more tweets, hugs, and shakin’ of the head. Hopefully someone, or several someone’s will also challenge him on things such as HB2038.

  8. Last night, I thought Madigan did pretty well around where I live. The tornados skipped around my town, hitting on either side.

  15. When IEMA’s Sat telephones do not operate, & their is a crises where there is no communication available, perhaps mjm will then call a bill to appropriate funds to pay that vendor..as of right now, that service, expires next week, and it will be shut off too…for lack of payment,,,,hmmmmm
