2 Eager Unifiers (66) - endorsed Trump by name after the Indiana primary [Shimkus]
3 Reluctant Endorsers (59) - has endorsed Trump by name, with reservations [Bost, LaHood]
4 Non-Namers (48) - has stated support for the “nominee,” but not by name [R. Davis]
5 Quiet Observers (27) - hasn’t made a definitive public statement regarding Trump [Roskam]
6 Hesitant Holdouts (20) - publicly undecided on whether to support Trump [Hultgren, Kinzinger]
7 True Skeptics (13) - has stated he/she will not vote for or endorse Trump [Dold]

Bernard Schoenburg: Rep. Davis says Trump meeting went well: “I don’t agree with everything Donald Trump says and the stances he puts out, and I don’t agree with everything Mark Kirk says and the stances that he puts out. But they’re both the Republican candidates on the ballot, and … I’m going to support them both,” Davis said. In early June, Davis called “racist and unacceptable” Trump’s initial criticism of a federal judge, born in Indiana but of Mexican descent, presiding over a case involving Trump University. But Davis didn’t withdraw support for Trump at the time. And in the interview Friday, when asked about a tweet Trump’s campaign disseminated in early July featuring a picture of HILLARY CLINTON, $100 bills and a six-pointed star many took to be the Jewish Star of David, Davis said, “I don’t think I can comment on his intent” or reaction. “I don’t agree with everything that any candidate at any level of office says 100 percent of the time,” Davis said.

You can think whatever you want about Trump the reality is that the above names are establishment Republicans. They are opposed to him not just because of his big mouth but also they have no control over him and he is not a part of their ‘group.’
Some such as Dold are big amnesty supporters and that makes Trump particularly a problem for them.

During the primary, there came a time when people had rationalized their reasons for supporting Trump with their vote. They were the group that just didn’t say what they were doing. They don’t want to argue, they don’t want to have to justify it to anyone else. They just started to relate with some, more, or most of what Trump was saying. They’re not wearing buttons, hats or putting up signs, but they are voting.
It’s not “yella”. It’s beige.

Holding out now can pay bad dividends later. If Trump should win I’m sure he will play hardball politics as he has been a hardball businessman.

Not surprising that my Congressman is an “Eager Unifier”. At least he has been true to the image he has created for himself foe the past 20 years in DC. Never a Profile in Courage here!

In that same report, Bernie says Congressman Davis (whom I totally support) says that Trump is the same in person as he is in public. That’s really scary.

Oh come on, you must realize that Dold is very much an establishment type Republican and part of the Boehner/Ryan group.
They want the party as is and that means they have control. Probably much less if Trump were President.
Think about it for a nanosecond and you should be able to figure that out and see the overall implications.
