I agree with Speaker Madigan that Chris Kennedy would make an “excellent candidate for Governor.” Not only is he someone with enormous contributions and qualifications, he comes from a family that represents the best traditions and ideals of the Democratic Party.

Madigan said he would be a good candidate…. he didnt say he woukd be a good govenor. he has exp as a candidate… he has been one a few times before quiting….
that said Madigan does not like Durbin much so this isnt a shocker
