Today is Governor’s Day at the Illinois State Fair. Speaker Madigan has confirmed that he will attend.

MM: Pray tell, Rod, how is it your people indicated you needed a great deal of time to study the 1,400-page budget, yet the day after it hits your desk you know it well enough to be able to cut $500 million?

They won’t say much to each other, but will probably be polite. More interstingly will be what the Speaker says ABOUT the Governor (if anything) to the press, and even MORE intersting will be what he says about Emil.
