  70. I know that people are angry that the game hasn’t started. I’m angry too. Speaker Madigan needs to stop acting like a right-wing Republican and pass legislation authorizing the first pitch; but any bill also authorizing a second pitch will be dead on arrival, and I won’t sign any bill that doesn’t address the seventh inning stretch.

Comment by Squideshi Wednesday, Aug 22, 07 @ 3:11 pm

  71. Alright folks there are six outs in each inning. I don’t think three for each team is addressing our biggest need. So, I’m reallocating the outs in a much more fair manner. From now on the Cubs get 4 outs and who ever they are playing gets two outs. Case Closed.

  95. Well gov. how is the budget going?

I’am working hard for the people of Illinois. I have this vision, and Emil and I have this plan to fund it.

What are you going to sell now Gov? The Cubs?

  100. Wow, the crowd is a little light today Chip and Steve. Since we didn’t pass a budget, I guess those CTA budget cuts affected some people getting to the park today? Oh, and others were to afraid to drive on some of the roads and bridges because we didn’t come up with a capital improvement program?

Hey, what happened to the electricity? Oh, the cubs couldn’t afford that last electric bill.
