Thoughts and prayers for healing and that everyone stays safe.

In other news, not a statewide one but this will assuredly dominate local talk radio here in Springfield tomorrow and maybe Friday. Bloomington opts not to hire current Springfield police chief Kenny Winslow after publicly jockeying for that chief job. Even after Springfield city council increased his pay to keep him here. At least two aldermen (two of the “infamous” ones, Hanauer and McMinamin) have basically lost confidence in Winslow:
