Comment by Anon Friday, Oct 31, 08 @ 3:35 pm

  40. VanillaMan,

So you’re going as Joe the Plumber? He had some trouble consenting to ‘government-enforced “charity”‘ or ‘taxes,’ as the rest of America calls it.

Don’t forget the guitar and cowboy hat for your costume! :)

‘Oh, I don’t have a license, I don’t pay my taxes, and Obama ran over my dog.’

Comment by doubtful Friday, Oct 31, 08 @ 3:38 pm

Comment by Six Degrees of Separation Friday, Oct 31, 08 @ 4:01 pm

  43. Sure did see a really scary Illinois costume, a prisoner on the front of the black and white stripped suit was the name George and George Ryan’s face was on the front of the mask and someone who looked like the Gov on the back, but the name said Public Official A.

Comment by Ugh Friday, Oct 31, 08 @ 4:47 pm

  44. Blago (Governor Rewrite to Do Right), dressed as Dudley Do-Right, of the Canadian Royal Mounted Police, riding backwards on his horse, as always.

    Dick Mell as Inspector Fenwick.

Patti B as Nell Fenwick, the daughter of Inspector Fenwick, the head of the Mountie station. However, Nell is more interested in Dudley’s horse (called Horse), to the point that she scarcely notices Dudley’s interest. (That really is true of the cartoon.)

Pat Quinn as Bullwinkle J. Moose. Bullwinkle received an Honorary Mooster’s Degree from Wossamotta U

Dan Webb as Rocket J. Squirrel, a/k/a Rocky. Rocky’s intelligence bears nothing on his ability to be conned and flimflammed by simple minded crooks with weak costumes. Although he is highly educated he still sticks to his primitive ways, by collection nuts. (yep, that’s correct for sure)

Kevin Fanning as Boris Badenov, a spy for “Fearless Leader”.

    Rich Miller as “Fearless Leader.”

I know, I need to get a life. I’m way too informed about Rocky & Bullwinkle, but it’s still funny.

  45. Angry Abraham Lincoln. (Abe is happy about Obama but not happy about a lot of stuff; take your pick)
    Is that OK, Rich?

Comment by Ahem Friday, Oct 31, 08 @ 5:12 pm

  46. LE, you left out the best part — if KF is Boris, who’s Natasha?

Comment by wordslinger Friday, Oct 31, 08 @ 5:16 pm

  47. Let’s not go there.

Comment by Rich Miller Friday, Oct 31, 08 @ 5:19 pm

  48. I had to switch characters around to make them fit better and it was just too coincidental that Inspector Fenwick had a daughter. Perhaps there will be a Natasha next year.

Comment by Little Egypt Friday, Oct 31, 08 @ 5:36 pm

  49. An unscientific observation while out trick or treating with my daughter (near west side of Springfield): every house that had a presidential campaign sign on the lawn also had its lights on and was handing out treats. Saw about half a dozen Obama signs but only one McCain sign in about a six-square-block area. No difference in treat quality.
