Obviously, what Eni Skoien allegedly did wasn’t very smart. Now she will need a skilled lawyer to get the protection order lifted.
That’s why violence is never a solution.
Still, in a situation like this, a few whacks might be the only way a woman can hold onto her dignity.

@Leroy: Agreed. Swap “male” and “female” in her article and it would be enough to start a national firestorm. Ridiculous. The entire premise is sexist in and of itself.

The order of protection is just another symbol of equal rights under the law.
If circumstances were different however instead of holding on to her dignity she could have instead been publicly humiliated on worldwide television, radio, and in the print media.
Look on the bright side however. Perhaps one day she will run for the U.S. Senate in a state in which she had never previously resided. Then she could run and maybe come within a stone’s throw of winning a major party nomination for President of the United States, and as a consolation prize be nominated by her opponent for the cabinet level position of U.S. Secretary of State.
For some people; personal dignity may be highly over-rated.

And since when is a woman 100% entitled to the kids? Aren’t men and women supposed to be treated equally?

Maybe Eni Skoien should hire Joe Birkett as her attorney. She didn’t even try to throw Gary into a fire…should be an easy case.

Female domestic violence is a relatively unrecognized and hidden problem in this society because people like Mary Mitchell excuse it and the police don’t take it seriously.

One of the above headlines states, “Early Voting Begins For House Seat Of Rahm Emanuel.” That implies that the early voting is only for that race, but that would be incorrect. On Apr. 7, all 1,034 Illinois townships will hold elections, and the majority of them will hold early voting, Mar. 16-Apr. 2. Many areas of IL, will hold Apr. 7 elections for mayor, town trustee, school board, library board, and/or park district board, and the early voting, in almost all of those races, will be Mar. 16-Apr. 2.
