  1. Cubs’re bad.

Sox’re even worse but can’t draft better than tenth overall.

Bulls are mediocre at best and thereby in no way, shape, or form close to being meaningful as treading water is the worse place to be in pro sports.

Hawks are awful, albeit with at least one good prospect, but are still a couple years at least from being contenders.

We’re in a period where the Bears are the most likely team to succeed, and that’s a scary thought.

  2. TJ, good thing that women’s sports in Chicago is looking great :)

  3. TJ- Amen to all that. This is (yet another) Chicago sports dark ages.

Some data focused person should map out the relative success levels of each team over time (won’t be me).

How do you figure? The Skye are 4-6 and the women’s soccer team here is under .500 as well. You must have extremely low standards for sports teams.

  5. A bit chilly (for the time of year) and very windy here on the south side.

  6. More and more Cicadas congregating on the ground instead of up high. Maybe the chilly weather?

  7. @ Bilbo

    Or laying eggs?

  8. We still have almost no cicadas and the fireflies are sparse. I’m also disappointed in the Skye. They seem to aspire to be the mean girl team.

  9. This is a classic example of not answering the question.

That’s a fantastic record compared to the White Sox. lol

  11. Sky watchable but such ridiculous drama so I will not watch Red Stars gotta do something because their play is not good Keeper world class but she can’t defend it all

  12. **Sky watchable but such ridiculous drama so I will not watch**

There’s no drama. There was one foul and a couple of quotes. They’re a fun young team that will keep getting better.

  13. @JoeMaddon next game too

That is certainly true. What a sad state of affairs for Chicago sports fans.

  15. Midwestern def.: Middle of the road.

  16. ===How do you figure? The Skye are 4-6===

And both the Cubs and Redbirds are only 2 games away from even. It must be a Midwestern thingy.

  17. ===How do you figure? The Skye are 4-6===

The Red Stars may be under .500, but they’re sitting sixth in the league, which would be a playoff spot. The NWSL is super competitive. The Sky’s young talent is amazing to watch.
