*** UPDATED x1 *** Willie Wilson to blast Pritzker spending plan
Thursday, Jun 6, 2019 - Posted by Rich Miller * Unfortunately I will miss this because I am taking tomorrow off… I think he is probably talking about infrastructure funding since the operating budget didn’t rely on tax hikes. * Gov. Pritzker was asked yesterday about the impact of the fees and tax hikes to fund infrastructure on everyday people. He talked about job creation, but also said this…
* Speaking of which…
*** UPDATE *** Here you go…

- Lester Holt’s Mustache - Thursday, Jun 6, 19 @ 3:18 pm:
Short version of remarks by Wilson: “What’s the matter with you, JB, don’t you know you’re supposed to hand this out as cash directly to people driving down the street?”
- Pleading the Fifth - Thursday, Jun 6, 19 @ 3:24 pm:
Governor Pritzer, eh?
- Downstate - Thursday, Jun 6, 19 @ 3:27 pm:
That image: welcome to the rest of the state. You should see Macon county.
- Perrid - Thursday, Jun 6, 19 @ 3:36 pm:
Mr. Wilson, when you misspell “Pritzker” 3 times in your flyer: 1) you can’t claim a typo, you just have to admit you don’t know the name of the governor you are admonishing, and 2) if you don’t know his name why am I supposed to trust your analysis of his policies?
- Bourbon Street - Thursday, Jun 6, 19 @ 3:36 pm:
It’s a pretty sad day for Illinois when the Governor has to lecture about the importance of “Smooth Roads and Other Infrastructure-Related Issues”.
- Linus - Thursday, Jun 6, 19 @ 3:39 pm:
Good ones from Perrid and Lester’s ’stache.
Mr. Wilson: Your 15 million minutes of fame have expired.
- Ducky LaMoore - Thursday, Jun 6, 19 @ 3:46 pm:
This ought to be a hoot. I hope he will be taking questions. And I hope there are some informed reporters to ask them.
- VerySmallRocks - Thursday, Jun 6, 19 @ 3:47 pm:
If Mr Wilson will pass out hundred dollar bills, I’ll be there.
- Chicagonk - Thursday, Jun 6, 19 @ 3:48 pm:
There will be a lot of pressure on the capital bill funding to deliver visibly improved infrastructure to Illinois residents given the increase in taxes and fees. Illinois doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to these large scale spending plans, so hopefully Pritzker and co learn from the mistakes of the past.
- Moe Berg - Thursday, Jun 6, 19 @ 3:49 pm:
Besides spelling the governor’s name incorrectly, the date is wrong. Friday is June 7.
- Colin O'Scopy - Thursday, Jun 6, 19 @ 3:49 pm:
Budget, smudget. Why let facts get in the way of a good grandstand?

I might go to see if he’s passing out hondos. If I make that train, it will make for a leisurely Friday liquid lunch at the Goat for Cubs/Cards.

Shorter Wilson: Where did all the cameras go?
