I hear that in many cases if a relative, friend, or other person, who had contact with someone who tested positive, becomes ill, the hospitals refuse to test that person and they are presumed to be infected. However, DPH and local public health don’t report the presumed positive numbers, so the idea is that the actual number of infected is much larger. I think Pritzker has done well in managing Illinois in this difficult time.
