When you think bigger government is the answer to the problem. Maybe use his money and clout to get him and his friends to invest in Chicago and the State’s blighted areas to get needed businesses and jobs. When someone has skin in the game there is a better chance of success happening than when it is free government money be tossed about.

sounds odd to spend that much $ to raise our taxes. Take the $50 millions and give $100k grants to a lot of poor people sounds better to me. put $100k into a lot of 529 programs.
