very nice fall type day down here in Southern illinois.

  2. - Oswego Willy - Thursday, Sep 10, 20 @ 9:25 am:

It appears Pat Brady is endorsing Casten over Ives, per the Tribune.

    That’s enough to chew on.

  3. - MakePoliticsCoolAgain - Thursday, Sep 10, 20 @ 9:27 am:

Chairman Welch not putting up with any nonsense Rep. Mazzochi this morning.

  4. - Ok - Thursday, Sep 10, 20 @ 9:31 am:

Was Illinois as orange as San Francisco is now when it had its notorious prairie fires?

It seem to match the Illini colors. Orange skies, blue lake.

  5. - Jose Abreu's Next Homer - Thursday, Sep 10, 20 @ 9:34 am:

Bears will go 0-0-16 this season, book it!

  6. - pool boy - Thursday, Sep 10, 20 @ 9:35 am:

    Who is James McCann?

  7. - The Captain - Thursday, Sep 10, 20 @ 9:37 am:

After today’s off day the Sox play 17 straight days for to the end of the season, and they have a one game lead in the division. Fun September baseball ahead.

  8. - Frank talks - Thursday, Sep 10, 20 @ 9:38 am:

@poolboy- All Star backup catcher, who would’ve thought All Star one year next year your the backup? Plus he caught Gio’s no hitter :)

  9. - Cheryl44 - Thursday, Sep 10, 20 @ 9:42 am:

Graceland Cemetery re-opened yesterday. I don’t know how many trees it lost in the derecho but there was an 8 or 10 foot pile of debris by its back gate for the last three weeks and they weren’t letting people in the cemetery. I may go over there later and take a walk.

=It appears Pat Brady is endorsing Casten over Ives, per the Tribune.=

“Ives makes (Donald) Trump look reasonable. ” - Ouch.

  11. - Nagidam - Thursday, Sep 10, 20 @ 9:50 am:

===It appears Pat Brady is endorsing Casten over Ives, per the Tribune.===

This is Brady boosting his progressive credentials…to make money.

With that said, he’s not wrong.

  12. - Not a Billionaire - Thursday, Sep 10, 20 @ 9:51 am:

We probably were as orange as CA OK. It will probably never happen again . If farms went away we would probably go to forest because we are much wetter than the Prairie peninsula days.

  13. - Not a Billionaire - Thursday, Sep 10, 20 @ 9:54 am:

CBSN Chicago just carried the first Madigan hearing and agreed on how to proceed consult with US Atty first. Meet again.Big contrast to DC GOP making a circus.

  14. - Oswego Willy - Thursday, Sep 10, 20 @ 9:55 am:

    - Nagidam -

    You’re on it.

Pat Brady is the mirror image of Dan Proft in “signaling for grifting”

Once that’s established, even when I agree with Brady here, it’s still clarifies intent.

  15. - Bobby McGee - Thursday, Sep 10, 20 @ 10:24 am:

The folks who wrote the 1970 constitution didn’t get everything right, but moving the Governor election away from the Presidential election was a good move. How crazy would things be right now if we were also electing a governor??

  16. - OneMan - Thursday, Sep 10, 20 @ 10:30 am:

Wearing long pants to work (aka the basement) now, so that’s new.

  17. - 10th Ward - Thursday, Sep 10, 20 @ 11:22 am:

excuse my ignorance, but does somebody know if a candidate pay for an endorsement? Meaning directly. “Do two ads Pat and you will get $$”? or is that illegal. Now I agree with Nag and OW, Brady will make money off this endorsement later, just curious if it is allowed to be paid by the campaign?

  18. - Anyone Remember - Thursday, Sep 10, 20 @ 11:27 am:

Here’s to hoping this mild late summer weather means we’ll have mild winter weather (both temperature and frozen precipitation).

  19. - Dotnonymous - Thursday, Sep 10, 20 @ 12:48 pm:

I awoke this morning to find Planet Earth a ball of confusion…still.

We will benefit when we adjust and clarify our collective vision…or suffer from blind faith.

  20. - revvedup - Thursday, Sep 10, 20 @ 1:04 pm:

Fall arrives unevenly in metro Chicago area, but the annoying yellowjacket wasps are out :( . Bears continue their myopic false hopes that ‘Tru will lead them to victory. Illinois should look at aligning State and National elections schedules to save millions Statewide. Not a big sports fan, but nice to listen to parts of games on radio; almost seems normal for a moment. Can the NFL pull off their season after seeing how MLB has done with Covid, with more players/staff involved?? And I think we should ask Rich for an Oscar posting. :)
