* Two candidates for 7th District Democratic State Central Committeeman met on neutral turf yesterday…
It was an honor to join Senate President Don Harmon for a joint presentation on leadership today at the annual Edgar Fellows gathering in Champaign. This bi-partisan group of leaders is a great cohort, and they will be a big part of the Edgar Fellows legacy in the years ahead. pic.twitter.com/cnLzv8TLgb

“Sorry, Nikki, but we’re going to redraw the 7th District down to Chambana to include this wonderful campus. But we can give you some of Peoria, including the neighborhood you grew up in, instead.”
=“Did you all know that Abraham Lincoln used to serve in the 7th CD? For two years that is?”=
Unidentified ILSA staffer in audience: “Do you both agree or disagree that if Abraham Lincoln was still alive today, that he would believe in the value of a fair day’s pay and a fair contract for a fair day’s work?”

I would shave my horse shoe too If I could look as cool as Chris.
“Rich, I’m surprised that somebody who has covered the State House as long as you have didn’t know we submit ALL important legislation for review by a kindergarten class.”
No, neither of us served with Governor Edgar. I mean, when he was governor, I was trying to learn how to hit a curveball. And to be perfectly honest, if I was able to hit a baseball a little bit better, I wouldn’t be standing here today.
The Texas Dems weren’t hiding the fact they were at the Q Center. Plenty to roll your eyes at when it comes to Shia but the idea this somehow falls on her is such a stretch

Both Legislative Leaders and a former Governor all in the same room and nobody is headed for jail = progress . . . .

I have long been surprised that Todd Bridges is the last man standing from that cast.
Fun fact: Conrad Bain had a twin brother named Bonar.

===but the idea this somehow falls on her===
Nobody’s saying that. But she was the first to publicly report it. That’s all.
