The Hard Rain tv special was, well, special back in 1976. There were so few opportunities then to see live performances of your favorite musicians. I was visiting friends in Colorado at the time, so they were stoked to see Ft. Collins in the background.
In retrospect the recordings from the 1975 tour are overall of higher quality, with many featured in the Scorsese film. But seeing Hard Rain for the first time was very cool indeed.
