Mostly sunny but colder here in beautiful DuPage County today. Drinking my coffee I can’t help thinking about the stock market. I hate losing money and I’m too old to think about the long term perspective.

Baseball. Cold. Brutal. Winter-during-spring-baseball.
The Cubbies lost another 1-run game despite scoring 7 runs and the Cards got swept.
And somehow the Dodgers are not in first place in the NL West despite media outlets insisting they are unbeatable.

Nor will Comcast subscribers, as well as anyone relying only on OTA TV in the Springfield/Decatur/Champaign media market. Where the Jerry Channel is still MIA from their local lineups–and honestly, I would not be surprised if the impasse continues into 2026.

Sunny but chilly day.
Just noticed the slightly delayed reporting that former State Sen. Greg Zito passed away. We think he had a variety of health issues in recent years. Colorful guy who was one of the GAs best golfers.
