Off topic, but I found it interesting that Eisendrath, the “reformer”, was the only gubernatorial candidate on either side not to release his tax returns. His excuse, that he’s been a private citizen, for many years makes no sense at all.

This obsession to privatize the ISAC loans is making certain democrats look unhealthy.

The fact checker at the Sun-Times needs a spell checker. It’s Townshend, not Townsend. Nice mental image though. Trouble is, I see JBT doing the Roger Daltrey scream while Rod does windmills on a soon to be destroyed guitar. Thunderfingers Milkman on bass, Brady destroying cymbals on drums, and EE doing keyboard runs. Glad Steinberg did not reference the picture of Elvis on stage making his leg stop shaking. . The warm OJ from this morning must be having an effect……

Rep. Fritchey is wrong.
Defendants are continuously abused with lawsuits filed in counties that have only a marginal connection. It is nearly impossible to move a case out of Madison or St. Clair County (Cook is a bit better, but not much), even when:
1. Neither the plaintiff nor defendant live there; and
2. The accident did not occur there.
The situation is so bad that nearly no cases are tried in Madison or St. Clair counties, because it is so well known that the juries (and judges) will kill the defendants.
As I reported from my sources, nothing will be done this session on the issue, but hopefully after the election things will move forward. The trial courts have too much discretion now and they are using it to keep cases that have nothing to do with the county in question.

The Mike Lawrence issue should get more attention. This is yet another attempt by the Blago machine to hush dissent. Not to mention, this is a very good issue of how government can halt free speech…
