* Gov. Pat Quinn did a fly-around yesterday to sign the workers’ compensation bill into law and appeared at Kraft Foods in Champaign. As part of the festivities, he was presented with a box of Kraft’s Macaroni & Cheese with his photo on it. It was a fun little presentation…
There’s no word yet on whether the governor also received a personalized truck during yesterday’s visit to Navistar.
Thanks to our friends at BlueRoomStream.com for the clip.
* And here’s a close-up shot of the box [updated with a high-rez photo from a good pal]…
Have fun.

Mac AND cheese? I don’t think I have had both at the same time. My parents were not wealthy and we always made choices basef on cost. I remember when my Mother would take us to the Kraft store to buy items we could use to create decorations for our home. She made wonderful wreaths made with all kinds of beautiful things. Things made right here in Illinois like grape vines and potpourri. Noodles like rigatoni and macaroni were beautiful additions to her creations and nutritious, too. But she could.never afford both macaroni and cheese so this is a wonderful surprise.

We began this process months ago with the belief that we needed to maintain essential calcium and Vitamin D for our kids, while ensuring that the kitchen treats our taste buds fairly. We brought everyone to the table to make sure that these noodles were robust, and created a system in which every cheese – cheddar, white, and whatever else Kraft puts in this stuff – are treated fairly. This macaroni is going to improve the strength of our kids’ muscles and bones, and I want to thank the box’s makers and all those who hungered for real macaroni and cheese.
