Local dignitaries were on hand for the unvailing of the new exhibit at the Old Town School of Folk Music.
The exhibit, entitled “A Lt. Governor At Play” shows a life size wax figure of current LG Sheila Simon, in Disney Animontronics, strumming a banjo and singing ‘Illinois’, the state’s official song.

The Republicans scheduled a news conference to talk about cutting the ribbon but never filed any legislation to actually cut the ribbon because it turns out the ribbon is made in Republican districts.

The Illinois Republican Party today issued a press release decrying the Democratic Unity Red Tape Cutting Party, saying the red tape was in fact orange.
