* This Halloween themed spot is said to be the final ad of American Action Network’s $1.5 million ad campaign against Democratic congressional candidate David Gill…
Welcome to Dr. Gill’s laboratory
Home to many frightening experiments.
Like Gill’s support for the Obama Pelosi agenda:
The 800 billion dollar failed stimulus sending billions to foreign firms and jobs to China.
Raising taxes on middle class families.
Radical environmental policies that would drive up utility rates,
Devastate our coal industry
Risking 43,000 jobs
David Gill, an experiment to risky to make.
Vote No on David Gill.

This goes to show that there is too much money floating around and not enough good ideas for ads.
I am glad they are wasting money on this ad because it will influence no one.

It’s the first time I’ve heard mention of coal in a broadcast ad in this race. Perhaps direct mail is more useful, but it did surprise me.

Kind of a weak knock-off of the JibJab crew.

I agree with TJ when I saw the ad on TV I thought it was really amatuerish and totally ineffective

Way too much money among far right-wing superPACs to spend intelligently. It’s like they have to use it all up before the next cycle. It is really now or never for these folks. If they lose this cycle, political tides will shift against them.

Now I know what I’m going to do on November 7th: I’m going to pitch myself to these knuckleheaded Super PACs as someone who can actually write a decent, humorous ad. That ad was a turd.

Local TV ad department must really love this election cycle. Booking those ads and look for a nice bonus for little actual work. The ads for Gill and his opponent run on our cable system but are out of our voting area. The ads are just getting cheesier by the week and almost always follow each other. After all this time all I can tell you is Gill is a physician and his opponent had cancer in his family. The rest, a blur.

Every year someone tries to do the halloween political ad. to my knowledge the consultants are now about 0-47.
