In the competition for the Tribune’s endorsenent this scarecrow steps in for Rep Saviano, and amazingly showed more spine in filling out the Tribune’s questionare than Madigan’s recruited opponent, Ms Willis did–hence earning the ’straw man’ endorsement.

It reminds me when we were kids, these couples used to visit one another. There was this man. He would never talk. He’d just sit there all night. They say to him, “What’s the matter?
Don’t you say anything?”
He says, “What am I going to say, that my wife two-times me?”
So she says, “Shut up! You’re always talking.”
But in Italian, it sounds much nicer.

Saviano gets a head start on “The Rich Miller Fall Scavenger Hunt”.
While “Picture with opponent yard sign” was fairly easy, Saviano showed some moxy getting his “picture with a senior” and “picture with a symbol of Fall” in one shot, doubling the points value. Congratulations!
