* Democrat Bill Foster is still pushing a negative message in the campaign’s closing days…
Script…
Thirty years in politics has become big business for Judy Biggert.
She voted nine times to raise her own pay.
Biggert voted for a $250,000 tax cut for millionaires like herself that forces the middle class to pay more.
And Biggert collected $170,000 from her Springfield pension, on top of her $174,000 paycheck from Congress every year.
Thirty years in politics has paid off for Judy Biggert.
What about you?
This race has long been a slogging slugfest. And it looks like it’ll stay that way right up to the end.

It’s funny, because they’re both running basically the same spots: who’s the worst big bad millionaire.
Biggert’s “Foster sold his investments after getting inside information” was still running this morning.

Somehow, it seems too nice. Not sure if it is the tone of the voice, or what. The visuals and the voice just don’t seem to jibe with the attack message.

Biggert’s attack on Foster is more powerful and memorable, false though it might be.
With just a few days left, detailed messages play to deaf ears and blind eyes. Name recognition is the only thing that might move the few voting “undecideds”. Positive ads, repeating the candidates’ name 10+ times, would do as well at this point, IMO.

Negative? I watched the video with the sound off and the clips of Ms. Biggert make her appear years younger (IMHY takes off a good ten years). The choppy video moves along quickly with a nice ledger background most folks will not recognize. Biggert raises pay! Biggert has a record of 30 years experience! People looking over paperwork and posing for?????? The Biggert campaign MUST thank Mr. Foster.

Why hasn’t Foster been called on the “thirty years in politics” BS? She began her first term as state rep in 1993, so its really only nineteen (19) years. He gets the extra 11 from her service as, get this, a member of the Hinsdale school board! C’mon! Isn’t 19 a big enough number?? (to a conservative is certainly is!) Meanwhile, folks like Madigan (both of them), Daley, Emmanual (pick your Democrat) can begin politics in their youth and stay in it as lifetime sinecures — and the Bill Fosters of the world won’t say boo.

OMG! Please don’t tell me that Ms Biggert receives a $170,000 yearly Illinois Pension for serving 6 or so years in the Illinois GA! And to think that I & other front line state worker retirees, with 30 years of service, feel disrespected, bullied and betrayed when we fight to keep our pension. We may not have law degrees but do have BA’s & beyond & decades of service. My pension is less than 20% of her $170,000 and I’m not even complaining of her specifically. Just saying maybe Illinois should fall into a sinkhole or something-it’s just too rotten.

They don’t get much more decent than Judy Biggert. I hope she can somehow pull this out.

If that’s the best Foster has it’s weak. If Judy can pound away on her positives with big points…I think Foster has problems. Of course, she is going to need a solid GOTV program but who doesn’t?
These are just a few quotes from her endorsements:
The Chicago Tribune says – Biggert is a more - reliable vote against borrowing and spending. She is a voice for tolerance and economic restraint.
The Daily Herald says – Biggert is the candidate best suited to protect and promote suburban interests.
The Illinois Education Association says – Few people have been a better friend to public education than Judy Biggert.

Take a look at her disclosures online. 174,000 per year vs 14,000per yr is a big difference. Just saying
