Barton is going to be a little bleary-eyed at work tomorrow. I hope Rich is giving him some kind of candy.

Sen. Tammy Baldwin?!? this is a big night for women in the Democratic party. take note Tea Party crazies.
Comment by amalia Tuesday, Nov 6, 12 @ 9:48 pm
Some sources say Schneider is over Dold by 1,200 with 7 precincts remaining. Anything on that Barton ?
Comment by Siriusly Tuesday, Nov 6, 12 @ 9:55 pm
Oops, posted a comment in the wrong thread. But basically I’d said earlier that I wondered if all that insane amount of last-minute advertising in the Dold-Schneider race meant Dold was underperforming. Seems so.

What’s the story with Foster-Biggert? It’s a huge margin for Foster, are there some Republican precincts still out yet?
Comment by Angry Chicagoan Tuesday, Nov 6, 12 @ 10:06 pm
Enyart, Bustos, and Foster declared winners by NBC.
Enough votes outstanding in Champaign for Gill to make it very close.
Schneider ahead by 2,000; looks headed for a recount.

Comment by Ace Matson Tuesday, Nov 6, 12 @ 10:41 pm
Is my math right that Dems picked up 5 congressional seats? What a debacle for the state GOP.

amalia - plus 5? I’ve only got Schneider, Duckworth, Foster, and Bustos who is the 5th? Enyart’s seat was Democratic.
Comment by Siriusly Tuesday, Nov 6, 12 @ 11:01 pm
If hartman hadn’t run it would be plus 5.

Comment by amalia Tuesday, Nov 6, 12 @ 11:40 pm
I bet some people in Illinois could use “recreational use” of marijuana right about now, amalia.
Comment by Anonymous Tuesday, Nov 6, 12 @ 11:45 pm
Pat Brady ought to resign. That means he won’t.
Comment by reformer Tuesday, Nov 6, 12 @ 11:47 pm
Be careful what you ask for, reformer. It could get worse.
Comment by Anonymous Tuesday, Nov 6, 12 @ 11:49 pm
@anonymous, ;-0 get in line! happy or sad, “recreational” use would be big for many right now!

I don’t know, ArchPundit. With a few major and notable exceptions, you can take the boy out of the Country, but you can’t take the Country out of the boy. So “demographics”, heh.

Madigan wins. Walsh probably would have lost anyway, but his map redraw has made him the winner.

Dear Illinois Democrats, quit acting against your base, or you’ll be heading to the Caymans soon too.

@PublicServant- one correction, based on some of yesterday’s results:
Dear Koch Brothers, we much prefer pot over Koch.
