They’re discussing video games in bars that are near churches as well as the quality of the bar.
Never mind the quality of the dogma nearby.

Last comment from me here (unless others chime in).
Is it ok to sell state lotto tickets in the bars near churches?

Am I the only one who has a problem with a few of the odd earmarks in HB190, Amend. 4. What odd earmarks one may legitimately ask?
Here are several examples: “$40,000, or so much thereof as may 16 be necessary, is appropriated from the Build Illinois Bond 17 Fund to the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity 18 for a grant to V.F.W. Post 8141 for all costs associated with 19 infrastructure improvements.” The post is located at 664 Hirsch Ave. in Calumet City, Illinois.
Or this one: ” The sum of $10,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Build Illinois Bond Fund to the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity for a grant to Life Center Church of Deliverance for all costs associated with infrastructure improvements.” This church is located at 855 N. Monticello St.Chicago.
Or this one: ” The sum of $28,461, or so much thereof as may 8 be necessary, is appropriated from the Build Illinois Bond Fund to the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity for a grant to Ravenswood Budlong Congregation dba Chabad for all costs associated with infrastructure improvements.” The Congregation is located at 1630 North Milwaukee Avenue Chicago.
Or maybe this one: “The sum of $150,000, re-appropriated from the Build Illinois Bond Fund to the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity for a grant to the Plainfield American Legion Marne Post 13 for all costs associated with infrastructure improvements.”
I thought we were broke? There is a lot more in this bill too including $1 million for the Children’s Museum in Chicago. By the way there are many necessary things in this bill too, but the earmarks are sick.

I’m shocked.
$$ was found in the Cellini Road Funds to be used for health care costs.

Kasich, the churches are looking to protect the Bingo games from gambling competition.

Word, there is at least one church within a mile of Balmoral Race Course in Crete,
I’m guessing the track came before the churches because I don’t think those churches have bingo.
