Nix that. The news feed shows that a Cook County Commissioner just proposed that the county help post bail for some criminal defendants.
Using taxpayer dollars. To bail criminal defendants out of jail.
If the concern is saving the costs of housing them, then why bother arresting them in the first place? Just give them a fine or a citation with a date to appear.
Sheesh.
With bizarre stuff like this floating around, the GOP no longer looks like the only guy in the room bent on self-immolation.
